Before a Breakdown
This 4-part series takes you through the process of feeling a big, complicated feeling, like the ones that keep us scrolling or just doubting ourselves. You know better than anyone else how to live your life. Let's tap into that wisdom!
A space for unnamable, cryptic, or weird emotions that need some attention.
This is NOT therapy
This is a gentle course.
There are no worksheets or quizzes.
No pressure to perform.
No self-optimization.
Just forest paths, quiet questions, and practices to help you feel a little more like yourself.
You’ll learn how to:
Notice what you’re feeling without needing to name it right away
Be with emotions that feel weird, cryptic, or just "off"
Offer care to parts of you that don't want to be fixed
Build trust in your own timing and intuition
Who this course is for:
People who are usually good at managing their emotions, but feel stuck right now
People who say, "I don’t know what’s wrong, I’m just not myself"
Sensitive folks, creatives, deep thinkers, or high-functioning humans who suddenly feel like everything is too much
Anyone afraid of burnout, breakdown, or numbness—and who wants to meet that fear with kindness
What’s inside:
4 guided video sessions filmed in lush Washington forest with practices to come back to when you feel overwhelmed
Journal prompts and quiet invitations for reflection, not productivity
Lifetime access — so you can come back anytime you need to
This is not therapy. But it is therapeutic.
It won’t fix your life.
But it might give you a little more room to breathe inside it.
This counts as caring for yourself.
There’s a lot of good reasons to be frustrated, grieving, angry, or even just annoyed. There are also a lot of reasons to be happy, hopeful, and at peace. It can be a lot to manage the emotional rollercoaster of daily life.
This non-spiritual approach to mindfulness can help you slow down to give your body and mind a chance to catch up with your life.
Take 7ish minutes at a time to feel what is real for you and gain access to your own wisdom. No one knows how to live your life better than you. You got this!

I’m a licensed therapist in the state of Washington but this is not therapy. This is what you do when things get tough and you take some space. This is non-doing. This is the kind of self-care that comes before pedicures and vacations.
I made this course because I needed it. I know I can do this but it got harder and harder as things kept piling on. One day, I just recorded it so I could listen to it again and again when I needed to hear it. This is personal for me, I hope it helps.

FAQs
-
Perfect. This is exactly for that feeling. You don’t need clarity to start, just curiosity. Research shows that the practice of staying with an implicit feeling can help without any additional effort.
-
Nope. This is a self-paced course. One way to do it would be to play a video and then sit with your journal for a while before coming back to the next one. Or all 4 videos can be played while on a 30 minute mental health walk!
-
Definitely not. This is not diagnostic or prescriptive. It’s supportive. It’s a soft landing, a mossy rock to sit on while you’re going through whatever you are going through. It can go alongside therapy or standalone as a tool to help you be with what you’re feeling.
-
This may be a weird answer, but I want to validate that reaching out for support, even if you can’t use it right away, is self-care and that matters. There is no expiration, no pressure. The body keeps the score and your nervous system will be waiting for you until you have time. No rush, really.

This was made with softness in mind. It includes cues and invitations for comfort. You can listen instead of watch. You can skip around. It was made by someone who cares very deeply about humans and their feelings, I’m worried it won’t help too, but every time I start feeling overwhelmed by that feeling, I listen to it again and it helps. That’s why I’m sharing it. It helps me and I hope it helps you too.
